Mid-Eighties, 1986 or 1987

Vicky and I were still living with our Mom and her husband, Bob. We lived in a old trailer house in Depoe Bay, Oregon and it must have been summertime because we weren’t in school that day.  It was the perfect day for a picnic and so Vicky and I decided to ride our bikes to “the forest”  (a group of trees down the road) and have our lunch there.  I don’t remember what we packed to eat,  but I do remembering mixing up a concoction of milk and pancake syrup, covering the cup with the milk/syrup mixture over with foil, and trying to hold the cup steady without spilling it, all while riding my bike.
